Walmart.com may not be a secure shopping site

About two years ago, at least three people in Southwest Virginia said they received charges on their debit cards from Walmart for items they did not order. Reddit users reported having the same problem.

In 2023 scammers charged over $3,000 for 60 overnight stands to a Walmart customer's account. This morning, I found three identical charges from Walmart.com on my bank account for $54.00. I used the service on September 18 and have not ordered anything since.

When I called my bank, I was informed they had received many calls about fraudulent charges because the Walmart site was not secure. Virginians, check your bank and credit card statements carefully to ensure there are no duplicates or charges you did not make.

Notify your bank so they can investigate and deactivate your credit or debit card to prevent additional charges. Walmart acknowledges that fraudulent charges are taking place and alerts customers on what they need to do.

It happened to me, too, both times I ordered from their site. Never again.
