A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 10 p.m.

A line of storms will track across the region. Storms may be strong to severe with damaging wind gusts. Due to the muggy conditions, locally heavy rainfall totals in excess of 2 inches will be possible. Storms will decrease towards midnight, but a few showers and non-severe storms are possible overnight.

There will be areas of fog tonight. It will be muggy with lows from the upper 60s to the mid 70s.

A cold front will move through the area Thursday, . More showers and storms will be around, with higher chances in southern and southeastern Virginia. It won't be as hot, with highs 85-90.

Friday will be less humid with highs in the mid to upper 80s. An isolated shower is possible in a few spots.

Muggy air returns this weekend into next week. Highs will be in the upper 80s and lower 90s. Scattered storms are possible each day.
