Cheap and Easy Kielbasa Casserole: Comfort Food Made Simple

If you follow me, you know i like to use a slow cooker. I find it to be a convenient way to prepare meals without the added stress of rushing to get everything ready in time. This recipe is simple and requires only a few ingredients, making it a perfect option for a hassle-free dinner. I would consider this to be a comfort food. This meal is definitely a wallet-friendly option for families going through tough economic times. Kielbasa is a type of sausage meat; it usually runs about $2.99 a pound. The hash browns were approximately $2.00. The can of cream of mushroom soup was a dollar. The bag of cheddar cheese was $2.00, and this meal will feed a nice amount of people.

Ingredients:

1 bag of hash browns

1 pound of keilbasa

1 can of cream of mushroom soup or cream of chicken soup

1 equal can of milk

garlic powder

any spices you enjoy also

1 bag of cheddar cheese

spray cooking oil

Ready to make?

Spray your slow cooker with cooking oil for easier clean up later. Place your hash browns into your slow cooker. Cut your keilbasa into chunka. Continue to add your can of cream of mushroom soup and 1 equal can of milk. Add your spices of your choice. Mix together so the hash browns are coated. Now, you will want to add your cheddar cheese or your choice of cheese. You can add multi types of cheeses also. Mix everything again. Now, top with more cheese. Allow is to cook on high for about 3 hours. To complete the meal, you can pair this dish with fresh green beans, broccoli or a side salad.
