Virginia is for lovers … of cats. The Virginia Cat Festival is happening Nov. 9 and 10 in Williamsburg featuring everything from cat-centric vendors in the “marcatplace” to plenty of family feline-centric fun and some “celebricats.”

Jackson Galaxy, star and host of the Animal Planet show “My Cat from Hell” is the keynote speaker.

There will also be hands-on educational workshops and panels where cat lovers can learn from experts in feline health and wellness.

The festival’s film screenings include the 2024 CatVideoFest, which raises funds for cats in need, with a VCF donation to the local Heritage Humane Society, and an interactive “feral” screening of the 2019 movie adaption of the musical “Cats.”

The show will take place at two venues: Kimball Theatre in Williamsburg on Nov. 9 and the Williamsburg Lodge on Nov. 10.

The event is sponsored by the city of Williamsburg. See vacatfestival.com for more information.
