Outer Banks residents facing Spectrum outages

Residents of the Outer Banks are facing internet outages Thursday morning.

Down Detector, an online service that gathers outage reports, reported Spectrum customers began noticing the outage just after 8:30 a.m.  According to reporting earlier this week from local reporter Sam Walker, a fiber optic cable was damaged Tuesday morning in Nags Head, knocking out services.

On Oct. 4, Spectrum posted that staff were continuing to make process on restoring services to homes impacted by Hurricane Helene.
