Since his spring 2024 ready-to-wear show, Jun Takahashi has imbued a refreshing sense of lightness into his womenswear. There’s been sheer layering, billowing volumes, unlined tailoring, and outfits flattened into roomy dresses. It’s as if Takahashi has been purging his line of the superfluous, but without doing away with his delicate magpie eye for ornamentation.
The Latest Trend in Retail? It’s a Surprise
“The first thing I see sticking out is a really interesting color,” Tasha Farsaci says skeptically. The 27-year-old pulls a pair of neon yellow sweatpants out of a white bag plastered with a large question mark. Farsaci’s surprise toward her order is warranted: She spent $100 on a bag of activewear and has no idea what’s inside.
All the Most Dazzling Jewelry From Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s Wedding
Over the past few months, the world’s collective jaw has dropped as Anant Ambani wed Radhika Merchant in a lavish series of events. There have been musical performances (Justin Bieber! Rihanna! Katy Perry!), there were celebrities (Priyanka Chopra! Kim Kardashian!), and there was even a convention center transformed into an Indian fairytale world with towers of food, blankets of florals, and a crowd of 14,000. To recount the opulence would prove an impossible task—much like it is to tally up all the carats worn by the Ambani family over the past few days, as the celebrations culminated with the couple’s wedding ceremony.
What Do Kaia Gerber and Jeremy Allen White Have In Common? These ‘It’ Sneakers
Kaia Gerber and Jeremy Allen White share more than a mutual friend in Ayo Edebiri. Despite the 3,000 miles between them, the model and The Bear star displayed the same stroke of sartorial inspiration this morning when they laced up their Bode x Nike Astro Grabbers. The actor wore his...
In Defense of Party Women
“We should go home,” my friend mouthed over the bassy reverb of T2’s “Heartbroken.”. We were in a club—a late-night bar, strictly speaking—in east London, the sort of place you only go when everywhere else is closed and you don’t want to pay entry. It was objectively gross: you had to peel your feet off the sticky floor with each step and armpits were in your face like it was 8:30 a.m. on the train. But I was two sips into a tequila lime soda, and my eyeliner had miraculously remained intact all night. “One more song!” I shouted back, before reluctantly following her into the street-lit glow of Dalston. We were greeted by the night’s various characters: art students in micro-minis sucking on vapes, couples crouched over kebabs wiping chilli sauce from each others’ chins, a drag queen boarding the bus, a nurse speed-walking home from the night shift, groups of friends laughing and crying and kissing. It made me think of that viral photograph taken in Manchester on New Year’s Eve which everyone compared to a Renaissance painting: chaotic, but still beautiful.

Western clothing is currently trending, but for Lela Rose, it’s a perennial style: “I grew up in Texas, went to school in Colorado, and now spend a lot of time out in Wyoming. The west has always influenced me,” she says. On her phone are thousands of photos of ranch cowgirls from the 1940s and 1950s that she first started saving in 2012. (“That’s as far back as my phone goes,” Rose said, laughing.) And a year after opening the Lela Rose Ranch in Jackson, where the designer owns a home, she decided it was finally time to do a western-ish collection of her own.
Brace Yourself for Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights Adaptation
If you’ve still yet to fully recover from Saltburn’s bathtub scene, then it’s perhaps best to look away now: Oscar-winning provocateur Emerald Fennell has set her sights on her next project, and her choice is sure to be a divisive one. On July 12, the director took...
Lily-Rose Depp Ditches Her Pants to Beat the Heat
In the summer heat, leaving the house is practically unthinkable. But if you must, Lily-Rose Depp has a solution to staying cool(ish) among the rising temperatures: ditching your pants. Yesterday, Depp enjoyed a day of R&R on Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood, treating herself to a day of shopping and...
In the Battle for Sexiest Sport, Tennis Wins Every Time
Is it just me, or does tennis make everyone feel a little… frisky? There was definitely something in the Pimm’s at Wimbledon. On Saturday, Anya Taylor-Joy was papped making out non-stop with her husband Malcom McRae, while mum-to-be Margot Robbie actually licked her husband Tom Ackerley’s nose at one point. And it’s far from the first time the All England Lawn Tennis Club has been the scene of some A-list snogging.
The Undone Summer Bun Sienna Miller Loves (And How To Do It At Home)
Excellent summer hair is all about ease. Spending too much time on styling is a no-no when you could be making the most of longer, lighter days and the heat—which is why the undone bun just works. Case in point: Sienna Miller, who wore an artfully messy bun to...
Harry Styles Evokes a Noughties David Beckham at the Euro Finals
Almost two decades have passed since David Beckham was described as “the biggest metrosexual in Britain,” because he was handsome and softly spoken and put effort into the way he looked. I.e., he enjoyed frequent haircuts, clipped nails and open-collared shirts that showed a triangle of waxed chest. Throughout the ’90s and ’00s, Becks was as well known for his oiled-up appearances in gay mags as he was for his athletic prowess, softening the tough and affectless stereotype of footballers.

Bella Hadid’s New Favourite Bag Is a Nostalgia Trip
Depop girlie Bella Hadid knew that Coach bags were due a comeback way before eBay searches for the all-American brand’s Ergo and Soho styles started peaking (eBay reports a 114 per cent surge since January). But, since graduating from her “recherché Y2K hype-girl” look to an urban cowgirl, adaptogenics entrepreneur and aspiring olfactor (Orabella’s Window2Soul scent is begging for your verdict), she needs more from a bag than the likes of @TimelessWear and @princesspeach310 can offer.
Is “Summertime Sadness” Real? Doctors Say Yes
You’re not supposed to be depressed in summer. What’s not to love? Long twilights, endless weddings, fresh strawberries, truly enormous hats. For most people, this is the high point of their year, a moment of breezy freedom, when they look at the world through rosé-tinted glasses. But not me. When the sun hits, so does my anxiety, and I become a hot mess of self-loathing—Lana del Rey’s “Summertime Sadness” personified.
Inside Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s Final Wedding Celebration in Mumbai
This weekend, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding took place in Mumbai—and it’s no exaggeration to say the whole world was watching. Thousands gathered in the streets of Mumbai to watch the son of India’s wealthiest man travel from the family home of Antilla to the Jio World Convention Center for his baraat. Millions more scrolled through on social media as Kim and Khloe Kardashian posted themselves in traditional Indian clothing with a camera crew in tow. (It’s rumored the family is shooting an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.) Meanwhile, news outlets from the New York Times to the BBC sent reporters to cover the affair, and tabloids churned out articles upon articles on the family’s every move.
Courteney Cox Creates a Scent Inspired By Her Daughter, Coco
“Coco is so smart, so cool, and so creative,” actor and home scent brand founder Courteney Cox tells me over Zoom of her 20-year-old daughter, Coco Arquette. Ever since she launched Homecourt in 2022, Cox has been dreaming up a scent inspired by her daughter. “Not just because she's my daughter, but also because she's such a special person.” Today, the collection is officially here. “I'm blushing,” Arquette says of this tribute, named Cocomoi. “My mom is my rock, my best friend.”
Shake It Out: The Easy, Expert-Approved Way To Unwind After A Stressful Day
We all have long and arduous days, but some of us are better equipped to deal with them than others. As a longtime stress-head of the finest variety, I have found the transition from busy and adrenaline-fuelled work days to rest and recovery at home a difficult one—my Oura ring often informs me that I am “adequate” at balancing my stress load, which is the AI version of telling me it’s “disappointed.” What to do about this sorry state of affairs?
Under a Royal Watch, Carlos Alcaraz Wins Another Wimbledon Title
If one were to extrapolate any kind of wisdom from the first game of the Wimbledon men’s final—which pitted third-seeded Carlos Alcaraz against second-seeded Novak Djokovic—it would likely be: We are in for one of the greatest—and longest—finals matches in Grand Slam history. That game, which lasted 13 minutes and featured 20 points and seven deuces, seemed a harbinger of epic things to come. (Think about it this way: If the match continued like that—even assuming it was won in three straight sets, say 6-4, 6-4, 6-4—it would have lasted six and a half hours.)
