These Fashion Moments Won Big at the 2024 ESPY Awards
The 2024 ESPY Awards were held last night in Los Angeles, with the most notable figures in sports convening to celebrate elite athleticism. While the ESPY red carpet is always an opportunity for athletes to trade their uniforms for designer looks, the intersection of sports and fashion has arguably never been more thrilling than it is right now.

Alexa Chung Goes “Strawberry Bronde” for Summer
The Wimbledon tennis tournament is a place to see and be seen—and for eternal fashion and beauty muse Alexa Chung, apparently it's also the place to debut a new hair color. Just weeks ago at Vogue World, she was the classic brunette shade we've seen her with for ages—but as of yesterday, she's now gone warmer.
We’re Buckled In for Emma Corrin’s Deadpool Press Tour
If there’s one thing Emma Corrin is going to do, it’s go all out on a carpet. Tonight in the U.K., the actor is continuing their Deadpool & Wolverine press tour with aplomb. Earlier this week, Corrin hit the U.S. theatrical release in a slinky, shoulder-padded Saint Laurent...
These Are Summer's Hottest Workouts
Moving our bodies is essential to good health and well-being, not just physically, but mentally too. Just like making walking a part of your daily routine to offset the damaging effects of our increasingly sedentary modern lifestyles, finding a workout you love—one that you feel you can commit to—will pay dividends in terms of your mood, fitness levels, and overall longevity. Here are some of the top trending workouts on Google right now, along with advice from the experts on how to make them work for you.
Forget Tennis: Fashion Rule-Breakers Won Wimbledon
As the sun sets on Wimbledon, it’s safe to say that there were just as many serves in the stands as there were on the court. Spectators brought their finest looks to the British tennis tournament, from Keira Knightley in a summery white one-shouldered Chanel dress to Alexa Chung in an ultra-preppy cable-knit sweater and khaki midi skirt. But at the most formal of the Grand Slam tournaments, the fashion rule-breakers caught our eyes.
‘Let Us Dance, Let Us Pray, Let Us Make Love’: Fashion Takeaways From an Exhibition on the Ballets Russes
The Ballets Russes is the subject of a newly opened exhibition at The Morgan Library & Museum in New York that has parallels with the current state of a fashion industry in flux. My reading of “Crafting the Ballets Russes: The Robert Owen Lehman Collection” surely strays from the curator’s intent, yet some of the issues the show addresses—including performance, collaboration, the status of women, and the preservation of the transitory—echo those we are discussing in the Vogue offices.
Katie Holmes Models Our Go-To Summer Uniform
Whether she’s wearing a Canadian tuxedo or a slip dress with Mary-Janes, Katie Holmes has a knack for making any outfit look effortless. On a walk in New York yesterday, Holmes managed to look breezy even in the sluggish humidity. She wore an oversized button-up with mustard yellow and white stripes, buttoned only at the top. The open shirt revealed a pair of high-waisted blue jean shorts. With her pair of brown fisherman sandals and black Tribeca Film Festival baseball cap accessorizing her look, Holmes’s outfit could just as well have belonged to her 18-year-old daughter, Suri. (The ultimate accessory, however? Her Whole Foods bag.)
Collection
Unlike other designers focused on celebrity placements and magazine credits, Rag & Bone’s Robert Geller targets the real humans of New York City and beyond who will be wearing his clothes in their everyday lives. “We’re trying to create a wardrobe that fulfills all aspects and needs of our customers’ lives,” he said. “We built it in four pillars: we have the denim which is our foundation and where Rag & Bone started, we have the ready-to-wear that leads the collection towards fashion with wearability, the sportswear, and the suiting.”
Why Your Breakfast Should Be Savory, Not Sweet
We’ve all heard that breakfast is “the most important meal of the day”—but we don’t often stop to consider why. Here’s a quick crash course: Because the foods we eat first thing in the morning are also the first to enter our system after a long period of fasting overnight, they are responsible for stimulating the metabolism, balancing the blood sugar, and providing energy. In other words, breakfast prepares our entire system to take on the day.
Selena Gomez Is Staying True to Herself (and Rare Beauty)
In 2020, singer Selena Gomez made two major life shifts: a serious return to acting as Mabel Mora on Only Murders in the Building and launching the beauty-meets-mental-health brand Rare Beauty. Four years later, both commitments are still going strong, with season four of OMIB coming in October and Rare continually launching sold-out products. This morning, Gomez is revealing a new Rare product exclusively with Vogue: the True to Myself Tinted Pressed Finishing Powder.
Prairie Dressing for the Future—The Definitive Guide to Get the Look
Products are independently selected by our editors. We may earn an affiliate commission from links. If your fashion feed has been overpopulated by tomato girl summer looks or the mob wife aesthetic for too long, maybe it's time to revisit something more romantic. Although prairie dressing has been around for awhile, today’s current interpretation still finds a way to add a few new twists and surprises to our wardrobes. Today’s prairie dressing trend is less Little House on the Prairie and more modern, with underpinning-inspired ideas galore and plenty of lace, frills, and delicate trims to keep things interesting—with a hint of gingham and florals in the mix.
The Trans-It Girls Are Taking Los Angeles (and Soon, New York) by Storm
A few months ago, as I was leaving the Elysian Theater in Los Angeles, I noticed something unusual. When a comedy set is over, I’m used to seeing audiences file out of the venue looking mildly relieved to be free. But the people at Trans-It Girls, a show put on by Hayden Johnson and Nori Reed, were red-faced and keening with laughter, repeating favorite jokes from the night’s performance to one another as they headed home. That’s for good reason: Johnson and Reed’s comedic collaboration is perfectly pitched, their rotating cast of special guests (which has included John Early, Hannah Einbinder, and Aparna Nancherla) always delivers, and their shiny, often scanty onstage looks never fail to inject a bit of capital-F fashion into the proceedings.
The Best Olympic Movies to Watch Ahead of the Paris Games
For some of us, sports hold limited appeal until given the right context: a triumphant personal story, impossible odds, national pride, an intense rivalry. Then, suddenly, they have all the makings of a great drama. With the absolute height of that drama—the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad, a.k.a. Paris 2024—quickly...
On the Podcast: Cole Escola Talks Oh, Mary!
“Don’t trust my show at all to teach you anything about Mary Todd Lincoln,” Cole Escola tells The Run-Through with Vogue this week. Oh, Mary!, the off-Broadway sensation that opens on Broadway tonight, was written by Escola, stars Escola, and is based largely on Escola’s third-grade knowledge of President Lincoln’s first lady.
Where, Exactly, Is House of the Dragon Season 2 Going?
Spoilers for House of the Dragon Season 2, Episode 4 below. After watching the first three episodes of the second installment of House of the Dragon, Ryan Condal’s staggeringly epic Game of Thrones prequel, I was halfway through writing a rave review. Following a Season 1 conclusion that left my jaw on the floor (surely nothing could beat the sight of Elliot Grihault’s Prince Lucerys being mauled by Vhagar, as ridden by his uncle, Ewan Mitchell’s silver-haired, one-eyed Prince Aemond), the early episodes were promising, providing moments which echoed, if never quite matched, that heart-stopping sequence: there were brutal shocks, much visual spectacle, and a thrilling sense of ambiguity. After all, when Vhagar swallows Lucerys in a single gulp, what we see on Aemond’s face isn’t triumph, but shock.
Experts On Why Niacinamide Serum Is A Skincare Hero
Few skincare ingredients have become as ubiquitous as niacinamide. From drugstore shelves to social feeds, niacinamide serums are everywhere, and their evangelists make a persuasive case for adding them to your skincare routine. Admittedly, I’ve never truly succumbed to the hype—with a history of skin troubles including acne and hyperpigmentation, I’ve developed a penchant for stronger stuff. Retinols, peels, acids, and peroxides: there are a few actives I haven’t tried to save my skin. But consulting the experts, I learned that by underestimating niacinamide, I may have overlooked the simplest savior of them all.
All the Benefits of Bathing in Salt, Whether at Home or In the Sea
“The sea is health,” was my mother’s favorite thing to say each summer of my childhood. She’d use it to encourage me to swim and float in the sea—especially during my teenager years when all I wanted to do was sulk under an umbrella on the beach with my Walkman and magazines. It was her mantra, her unending belief: “The sea is health,” she’d repeat.
Maybe, Just Maybe, We Don’t Actually Need a Polly Pocket Movie?
Like any millennial woman who grew up chewing on plastic Polly Pocket clothes (It’s a thing!), I was excited when I first heard, back in 2021, that the teeny, tiny doll would center a huge Hollywood movie starring Lily Collins and helmed by none other than Girls creator, Lena Dunham.
