Phil Oh Reflects on His Favorite Dries Van Noten Looks in Street Style
Dries Van Noten’s impending retirement is just days away, and we’re looking back at a week’s worth of the designer’s best moments. Today, Vogue’s resident street style photographer Phil Oh, who’s been in the business since the early years of online street style, considered what exactly it is that has made Van Noten’s work such a key presence in his galleries of 500-plus photos during Fashion Week.

Blumarine hasn’t appointed a new creative director yet; resort was designed by the in-house team. The label has been going through some rather turbulent times, so it made sense that the collection played it safe. Blumarine’s codes, established in the early 1980s by founder Anna Molinari, still hold enough...

Satoshi Kuwata visualizes his collections by sitting in front of a piece of white paper. He doesn’t draw. The silent conversation he has with that flat surface mysteriously brings shapes and volumes to life. For spring, the piece of paper was double-sided in black; cut with a neat slash, the folded-over strip revealed its back side. The paper told Kuwata: Satoshi-san, this season use both sides of your fabrics.
All About the Anti-Inflammatory Diet and 6 Foods to Eat
Inflammation is the body’s natural response to germs, toxins, injury, or infection. And while it’s a natural response (and if successful, the result of a healed body is fantastic), living in a state of inflammation is not. Inflammatory cells and cytokines (pro-inflammatory signal proteins that activate immune cells) are initially produced by the body to protect and can result in temporary pain, redness, and swelling. For some, chronic inflammation remains after the body’s initial response (a.k.a. in the absence of a threat) and may be signaled by fatigue, fever, depression, weight gain, and more. Should your body’s own processes be causing more harm than good, thoughtful changes to your daily diet can quell inflammation and boost your immune system.
Even Dua Lipa Is Drinking Matcha—Here’s Why The Wellness Set Loves It
Products are independently selected by our editors. We may earn an affiliate commission from links. Good morning, Dua! The ultimate wellness status symbol on social media right now? A cup of matcha. Whether it’s a “morning matcha,” accompanying a comprehensive AM routine so often documented online, or consumed on-the-go, as in Dua Lipa’s case, like it or not, it’s cool to have a matcha in your hand.
How to Style Jewelry With Your Wedding Day Look
Wedding jewelry goes far beyond the rings exchanged at the altar. Brides, grooms, and marriers of all genders can enhance the impact of their wedding-day looks with heirlooms and gorgeous new gems. While many will stick to classics—diamonds, pearls, gold, and silver—it’s fun to break with tradition and embrace bold shapes and unique stones. Of course, when you are already wearing a show-stopping gown or tux, achieving the right balance with accessories is key to complementing your look.
This Lake Como Retreat Named the World’s Best Hotel Now Has a World-Best Spa
It takes less than an hour by car to reach the southernmost edge of Lake Como from the congested streets and blaring horns of central Milan, yet it’s an entire world apart. As you pass through the city of Como and rise up the road to Cernobbio, on the western side, the lake’s glittering carpet of blue is revealed; through a sfumato haze, you can just about make out the grand villas and church towers clinging to the opposite shore. It’s one of the world’s most dreamed-about holiday destinations for a reason.

Personnel changes at Filippa K mean that the spring collection started by Liisa Kessler was completed by the in-house team with input from the new creative lead, Anna Teurnell, who will also continue to run her tiny, mighty namesake label, Teurn Studios. Both brands tend toward the minimal, but by the looks of it, at Filippa K the designer is working toward a modular simplicity that builds sturdy bridges between the house’s dependable basics (such as fine gauge knits and denim) and its more fashion forward proposals.
Very Cool: All The Benefits of Using Ice on Your Skin
Reduction of inflammation and redness. By lowering the temperature of your skin, blood vessels constrict, which in turn reduces swelling. This soothes irritated skin and calms redness caused by acne, eczema, or rosacea. Reduction of under-eye swelling and dark circles. The cold effect stimulates your lymphatic system, treating stagnant fluid—which...
From Victoria Beckham To Shakira and Cheryl Cole: All The Best WAG Beauty Moments
I don’t claim to know much about football, but what I do know is that it’s a source—a rich tapestry in fact—of iconic fashion and beauty looks. Yes, we had David Beckham’s hair bands, and nowadays the perfect curtain bangs of Manchester City's Jack Grealish, but a golden era of female beauty came and went during the ’90s and early ’00s. It’s when the WAGS were really giving.
Ayo Edebiri Is Turning Press Tour Style Inside Out
In this era of relentless method dressing, Ayo Edebiri is falling back on the time-honored tradition of simply…dressing well. Promoting both Inside Out 2 and the third season of The Bear, the actor and her stylist, Danielle Goldberg, were tasked with doing double duty on two very different projects. Together, it’s safe to say that they succeeded in fashioning a (blessedly) theme-free press tour. (One notable exception was Edebiri’s custom seafoam Bottega Veneta Bermuda short suit, which she wore to the premiere of Inside Out 2. But since the look she employed to channel her teal-hued character, Envy, is a close interpretation of an existing pre-fall 2024 look, we’ll give it a pass.)
Here’s What You Didn’t See on TV During the 2024 Tony Awards
Now, I know what happens at the Tony Awards. I’ve watched them closely for years, sometimes with friends and themed snacks (I’m looking at you, 2022’s “A Strange Fruit Loop”), sometimes at a more formal viewing party. At regular intervals I’ll also revisit “Bigger,” Neil Patrick Harris’s joyous opening number at the 2013 ceremony, knowing I will feel the same swelling in my heart every time he arrives at the climax of his rap: “We were that kid.” (Is someone cutting onions in here?) Still, nothing could quite prepare me for being in the room where it happens (…sorry!) during the 77th Annual Tony Awards on Sunday night.
Sabrina Carpenter Revives Last Year’s Biggest Trends for Date Night With Barry Keoghan
Sabrina Carpenter put the Espresso in espresso martini last night, when she and beau Barry Keoghan enjoyed a date night at London’s Chiltern Firehouse. The duo arrived in style for a 10 p.m. dinner at the London hotspot. (She’s working late, ’cause she’s a singer, obviously.) While some like to dress up for the occasion, the young couple kept their looks on the lowkey side, with Carpenter opting to revive some of last year’s biggest trends.

Rosetta Getty has been celebrating her brand’s 10th anniversary this year, revisiting the moods and styles that defined her. She delivered a tight collection of the pieces that have kept her customers coming back for a decade, like a high-femme take on a suit in white cady fabric consisting of a sleek crewneck vest that hit at the hips worn underneath a single-button jacket, a maxiskirt, and a bucket hat (a favorite style of the designer). Suits are a big seller for Getty, and she had plenty of varieties on offer, including a version in an alluring shade of dark greenish cement with a knee-length jacket and narrow trousers and another in stretchy herringbone with a sleek single-breasted jacket worn with wide-leg (but not oversized) trousers.

Whether she’s a planner or a last-minute dresser, the Zuhair Murad woman comes to life at night: She has a heavy social schedule and knows the designer has her covered. With his resort collection, Murad dug into his arsenal and came up with lots of high shine: His stylized monogram cropped up in starburst form, silvery tweed was adorned with jewellike framed monogram buttons, and silver sequins showered over a gown that was high-impact yet surprisingly lightweight.
Happy 100th Birthday, Polly Mellen! Colleagues Share Favorite Memories of the Indomitable Fashion Editor
Polly Mellen will add yet another milestone to a life full of them when she turns 100 years old tomorrow. Of course, she doesn’t have the same level of control over this milestone as she did so many others during her storied career as a fashion stylist extraordinaire. Among the most famous is “The Great Fur Caravan,” a 26-page editorial she did with Richard Avedon for Vogue in 1966, which is still believed to be the most expensive ever undertaken. The photo that dream team did of a snake kissing Nastassja Kinski in 1981 year still raises goosebumps. Mellen was as much of a force in front of the camera as she was on set, having walked for Jean Paul Gaultier and starred in a Gap campaign. She’s also rumored to have been an inspiration for The Incredibles’ outspoken Edna Mode.

The 27 Best LGBTQ+ Books to Read (or Revisit) This Pride
Products are independently selected by our editors. We may earn an affiliate commission from links. Trying to list the very best LGBTQ+ books—or even the LGBTQ+ authors who have changed my life—is, it turns out, a near-painful task. As a lifelong book nerd who came out in my mid-20s and promptly set out to devour every book I’d missed about queer and trans culture, I can attest that it is, in fact, impossible to read everything. That said, it’s a lot easier to be out and proud when you have some of the greatest writers and thinkers in literary history figuratively holding your hand.
