Tello Agrees to Terms with Philadelphia Phillies
IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa redshirt junior Raider Tello has agreed to terms with the Philadelphia Phillies. The El Monte, California, native led the team hitting .357 in 54 games this season. Tello notched 79 hits, 19 doubles, four triples, and seven home runs. He plated 60 RBIs and scored 51 runs. Tello appeared in 113 career games for Iowa over two seasons with a .335 batting average. He recorded 155 hits, scored 98 runs, hit 33 doubles and had 11 home runs.
