SD Team Ties for 2nd at 4-H Shooting Sports National Championships
BROOKINGS, S.D. – South Dakota’s team tied for second place for the sweepstakes award at the 2024 4-H Shooting Sports National Championships. Thirty-five youth representing South Dakota State University Extension 4-H competed at the national championships from June 24-28 in Grand Island, Nebraska. The annual competition drew 708 youth from 40 states to demonstrate their abilities in archery and shooting across multiple disciplines.
Rapid City’s legion teams finish regular season Saturday

Sioux Falls to face Rapid City Little League Sunday
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - South Dakota’s Little League tournament championship is shaping up to be great one. On Saturday, Sioux Falls routed Canyon Lake 10-0 to earn a spot in Sunday’s title game against Rapid City. First pitch is set for noon. The winner will garner a trip to Whitestown, Indiana, for the Midwest Regional. The Little League World Series kicks off August 14 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
