GLENWOOD, Iowa — The Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa is now underway, as the 51st installment began in Glenwood along the Missouri River Sunday morning. The 7-day RAGBRAI will take riders on a southerly route across Iowa, making overnight stops in Red Oak, Atlantic, Winterset, Knoxville, Ottumwa, and Mt. Arina Haugen of Sturgis wins All-Around Rookie Cowgirl honors at National High School Finals Rodeo
ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. — Sturgis’ Arina Haugen captured the All-Around Rookie Cowgirl honors at this year’s National High School Finals Rodeo. Haugen qualified for the finals in three different events, breakaway roping, pole bending and barrel racing. She finished with 840 total points, finishing 350 points ahead of second place Kinley Follman (North Dakota). Haugen finished fourth in the All-Around Cowgirl standings.
