HVFC Responds to Motor Vehicle Accidents Hours Apart
(July 17, 2024) —- On July 13, 2024, the Haddam Volunteer Fire Company responded to back-to-back motor vehicle accidents on Saybrook Road (Route 154). At 4:35 p.m., HVFC was dispatched to Tylerville for a two-car accident. Two patients were evaluated on scene and refused additional medical treatment. Both lanes of Saybrook Road were closed for about an hour while crews removed the vehicles and cleaned debris from the road.

The festivities began at noon, with the Civil Air Patrol— Suwannee River Composite Squadron raising the American flag at the center of the Greenway to kick off the opening ceremony. The ceremony also marked the official opening of vendor booths, allowing attendees to visit local candidates and browse through a variety of handmade goods.
