WACO, TX ( FOX 44 ) — A wild game in nearly every aspect ended in even more chaos as referees waved Milan Momcilovic’s three pointer to win the game as the buzzer sounded off and Baylor escaped with a 68-66 win over No. 12 Iowa State.

Jayden Nunn came out of the gates hot, not missing a shot in the first half while turning in 11 points. He’d become a crucial part of the Bears success especially in the late moments.

However, before those late-game situations, craziness ensued with multiple technical fouls being called on Baylor head coach Scott Drew. Referees called the first technical with 10:17 remaining in the first half. The second occurred with Drew stepping outside of the coaches box with 11:20 remaining in the game. The two technical fouls called for an immediate ejection.

Drew commented on the ejection in his postgame press conference and said he didn’t receive an explanation all game long. He also said this is the first game he’s ever been ejected from.

The Bears became flustered from that point on, when they saw their nine-point lead turn into a seven point Iowa State lead in the span of 4:24 of gameplay. However, assistant coach Jon Jakus rallied Baylor as the head coach in the interim and the Bears took the lead right back.

From the two minutes remaining mark of the game, each team traded buckets but none-bigger than Jayden Nunn’s hoop and the harm with two seconds left on the clock.

The Bears look to ride this momentum when they take on No. 15 Texas Tech and Grant McCasland makes his return to Waco as the Red Raiders’ head coach on Tuesday, February 6th at 8:00 p.m.
