    No. 24 Baylor gets revenge on Kansas with a key late season win

    WACO, TX ( FOX 44 ) — The 24th ranked Baylor Women’s Basketball team is now in a prime position to get a top-five seed in the Big 12 Tournament as the Bears beat Kansas on Wednesday night.

    Nicki Collen and company got down early, as the Jayhawks took an early lead, but they eventually took the lead late in the first quarter and never looked back on their way to a win.

    The story of the game for the Bears came from the bench, which 35 of Baylor’s 69 points, led by Dre’Una Edwards and her 20 points, while Jana Van Gytenbeek (11 points) and Darianna Littlepage-Buggs (10 points) also finished in double figures.

    Next up for Baylor is a second matchup with West Virginia in a four game stretch, as the Bears will travel to Morgantown to take on the Mountaineers on Saturday, February 24th at 1:00 pm.
