WACO, TX ( FOX 44 ) — The upset bid for the 14th-ranked Baylor Men’s Tennis team came up just short on Wednesday, as the Bears lost to top-ranked Ohio State.

It was as good of a start as Michael Woodson and company could’ve asked for against the Buckeyes, as the Bears won the doubles points, their ninth straight, to take an early 1-0 lead.

From there though, it was all Ohio State in singles play, as the Buckeyes swept their way through a shorthanded Baylor team without the services of captain Tadeas Paroulek.

Next up for the Bears is a trip to Champaign, as they will take on Illinois on Friday, March 1st at 6:00 pm.
