WACO, TX ( FOX 44 ) — The 14th-ranked Baylor Softball team made it 12 wins in a row on Wednesday afternoon, as the Bears took down Penn State.

Neither team could do any damage on the scoreboard the first few innings, despite plenty of traffic on the base paths in the early going.

That changed in the bottom of the fourth, when Leah Cran was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, giving Baylor the first of three runs in the inning, as the Bears went up for good.

On the mound, the story of the game was Aliyah Binford, who gave up one run in a complete game win, while striking out 11 Nittany Lions in the process.

With the win, Glenn Moore’s team moves to 13-3 on the season. The Bears will next be in action on Friday, March 8th when they host Oklahoma State in the first of a three game weekend series. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 pm.
