No. 13 Baylor Softball sweeps Lamar in midweek doubleheader

WACO, TX ( FOX 44 ) — The 13th-ranked Baylor Softball team got right back to its winning ways on Tuesday, as the Bears swept Lamar in a midweek doubleheader.

The Bears got off to a quick start on the day, with a 5-1 win in game one, as Kaci West was stellar on the mound, as Baylor got off to a 5-0 start and never looked back on its way to a win.

Game two followed a similar script, as the Bears scored five runs in the first two innings, and Lexie Warncke gave up just a single run in five innings on her way to a second win of a season.

Next up for Baylor is a move back to Big 12 play, as the Bears will hit the road to Lawrence to take on Kansas. Game one of that weekend series is set for Friday, March 15th at 5:00 pm.
