WACO, Texas ( FOX 44 ) — A walk off winner for Kaci West in the seventh inning lifted Baylor to a 2-1 win over Texas Tech to even the weekend series on Saturday.

A solo home run from Emily Hott gave the Bears an early 1-0 lead which let Rylee Crandall take the reigns from there. Crandall pitched a gem of six innings, not giving up a run and adding four strikeouts.

However, late inning situations continued to plague the Baylor softball team as Kennedy Crites took Crandall yard to tie the game in the top of the seventh.

The Red Raiders walked Leah Cran with Caroline Rowatt in scoring position to bring up Kaci West and West made them pay. A single up the middle brought Rowatt home and clinched a crucial win for Baylor.

The Bears look to take the series with a win tomorrow on Sunday, April 7th at 1:00 p.m.
