WACO, Texas ( FOX 44 ) – Baylor Athletics is gearing up for the Green & Gold Weekend!

A number of events on campus will be taking place this Friday through Saturday. The Green & Gold Game will start this Saturday at noon at McLane Stadium. Admission is free, and the gates will open at 11 a.m. Parking will be free in the McLane Stadium lots.

Baylor Athletics says the format for the day will focus on a traditional practice, with limited team competition periods during the event. With the structure of the event geared more towards a productive practice, there will be no broadcast or streaming option. The offense will wear green uniforms and the defense will don gold.

For the 2024 season, Baylor fans will notice new visual elements at McLane Stadium geared towards enhancing the fan experience, including a new videoboard. With the ongoing visual renovation efforts at McLane Stadium, Baylor will not have a permanent videoboard structure for the scrimmage.

The university is in the midst of a new offensive install. The addition of Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach Jake Spavital and the transition of Coach Dave Aranda as the defensive play caller has created exciting elements on both sides of the ball.

Fans are encouraged to sit on the sidelines, including in the student section and Baylor Line spaces. Baylor ticket sales staff will be on the concourse near Gate C to discuss ticket packages for the 2024 season with interested fans.

The Baylor Family can start their day at the third Baylor annual Alumni Cook Off, featuring 10-15 teams, starting at 9 a.m. in the McLane Stadium Amphitheater. Celebrity judges include Pete Fredenburg, the former Bears’ Defensive Coordinator, Glenn Moore, Baylor Softball Head Coach, Mo Porter, Baylor Football Letterwinner and more.
