Baylor’s Ja’Kobe Walter declares for NBA Draft

WACO, Texas ( FOX 44 ) – Following a fantastic freshman season at Baylor, guard Ja’Kobe Walter declared for the 2024 NBA Draft on Monday morning.

During his lone season in Waco, Walter led the Bears in scoring with 14.5 points per game, while also finishing third on the team in rebounding.

He becomes the second Baylor freshman to declare for the draft in the last week, after center Yves Missi made the announcement last Wednesday.

Walter is currently projected to be a lottery pick in June’s draft, and if that projection holds true, it would mark the fourth straight year in which a Baylor Bear was drafted in the lottery.

The 2024 NBA Draft is set to start on Wednesday, June 26th at 7:00 CT in Brooklyn, New York. It will air on ESPN.
