Baylor Softball loses midweek matchup against UT Arlington

WACO, TX ( FOX 44 ) — The rough stretch of results for the Baylor Softball team continued on Tuesday night as the Bears came up short in a midweek matchup against UT Arlington.

It was the Mavericks that got off to a quick start, as they took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second inning.

From there, the Bears responded with three unanswered runs, thanks to in part to a solo home run and an RBI double from Ana Watson.

It was UT Arlington that had the last laugh in the game though, as the Mavericks took the lead for good in the top of the fifth inning.

With the defeat, Glen Moore’s team has now lost 10 of its last 15 games, with Baylor needing a big result this weekend against UCF to boost the team’s chances of making the NCAA Tournament. First pitch of the series against the Knights is set for Friday, April 19th at 6:30 pm.
