WACO, TX ( FOX 44 ) — Following two seasons with the Baylor Men’s Basketball team, and four seasons playing Division One College Basketball, Caleb Lohner announced his decision to transfer to Utah and switch sports.

In his most recent season with the Bears, Lohner averaged 2.4 points and 2.3 rebounds per game, while playing in 35 contests for Scott Drew’s team.

His move to Salt Lake City also marks a return to the state of Utah, where he played his first two seasons with the BYU Men’s Basketball team.

In the process, he becomes the most recent Baylor Basketball player to try his hand at football, joining players like Rico Gathers, Mark Vital and Ish Wainright.

Lohner will also have a chance to play Baylor on the football field in 2024, with the Bears making the journey to Salt Lake City for a Big 12 matchup on Saturday, September 7th.
