WACO, TX ( FOX 44 ) — The Baylor Baseball team picked up a much needed midweek win on Tuesday night, as the Bears got out to an early lead and never looked back on the way to a win over Tarleton.

Much like the weather outside, the Baylor offense came out red hot, as the Bears scored six combined runs in the first two innings, as Mitch Thompson’s team never looked back on the way to a key win.

That was more than enough offense for a Baylor pitching staff which bounced back from a rough weekend showing against TCU, as seven pitchers combined to give up just four runs.

The win is the fifth in a row for the Bears in the midweek, as they will now look to turn those wins into victories on the weekend. Baylor will look to break a current eight game conference losing streak on Friday, May 10th when the Bears open up a series against Oklahoma at 6:30 pm.
