    Baylor tallies sixth and seventh-place finishes in Big 12 Championships

    WACO, Texas ( FOX 44 ) — Through lightning and weather delays galore, the Big 12 championships are complete as Baylor finished the tournament hosted on their home track with a seventh-place finish.

    The Bears tallied 63 points throughout the weekend on the men’s side. Texas comes away with the Big 12 crown followed by Texas Tech in second place.

    Baylor tied for sixth place with Oklahoma on the women’s side with 51 points. Texas also won the Big 12 title to complete the sweep, followed by BYU in second and Texas Tech in third place.

    Baylor started the final day well with a win in the 4×100 event on the women’s side and a second-place finish in the same event on the men’s side.

    Demar Francis had a solid day in the running events, winning the 400m event as well as taking third place in the Men’s 200m.

    Nathaniel Ezekiel set a stadium, Big 12 and Olympic Qualifying Standard record with a personal best 48-second time to take the gold in the 400m Hurdle event.
