Baylor dances into Lafayette Regional of NCAA Tournament

WACO, Texas ( FOX 44 ) — In a season filled with adversity, Baylor softball is heading to the NCAA Tournament for the 16th time in program history with an at-large bid in the Lafayette Regional with No. 12 Louisiana as the host team.

Baylor enters the double-elimination tournament in a rematch against Ole Miss, whom the Bears opened the 2023 NCAA Tournament against. They’ll take on the Rebels on Friday, May 17th at 7:00 p.m.

This marks the 11th time in the past 13 years Baylor softball has danced into the tournament. They’ll look to advance to a Super-Regional for the first time since 2017 when the Bears made it all the way to the Women’s College World Series before falling to Oklahoma.
