WACO, TX ( FOX 44 ) — After a season in which its pitching staff struggled mightily, the Baylor Baseball team now has a new pitching coach, as the Bears hired Lamar’s Sean Snedeker.

Under Snedeker’s leadership, the Cardinals have become one of the dominant units in the Southland Conference, leading the league in ERA in each of the last four seasons.

Prior to his time in Beaumont, he also spent time at both Oral Roberts and Duke following 13 seasons as a coach at the professional level.

During his time at the collegiate level, Snedeker has helped develop 38 MLB Draft picks, five All-Americans, five conference pitchers of the year and 29 all-conference picks.

He will now look to replicate that success at Baylor, which is looking to rebound following a season in which the Bears fired James Leverton after the pitching staff finished last in the Big 12 in ERA.
