Waco,TX ( FOX 44 ) — Local companies were affected by the Microsoft outage causing problems for employees at work.

“I just was scanning the news and noticed that there was a big outage that was affecting airports, hospitals, and many other businesses and it listed banks, and financial institutions. So, I immediately jumped on and contacted our team,” says CEO and chairman of TFNB Your Bank For Life, David Littlewood.

Once CEO and chairman of TFNB Your Bank For Life, David Littlewood contacted his I.T. team they immediately noticed the problem.

“We’ve got blue screens on our laptop, which means Microsoft isn’t working the way it’s supposed to,” says Littlewood.

While this issue is currently being fixed, the TFNB Your Bank For Life team was able to fix their technical issue to keep them running for the day.

“Our team was able to jump on that quickly, got that fix installed on our servers and all of our other units,” says Littlewood.

Luckily the team was able to fix the problem before the bank opened, and most customers were not affected.

“By the time we opened this morning, we were up enough that our tellers and everyone could function. So we really did not have any impact on us because our core system wasn’t affected,” says Littlewood.

While this outage is causing problems for others, worldwide you want to plan ahead and make a call to your bank or your airline to inquire about your issue while they work to get everything back online.
