According to court documents, on June 6, 2022, Monroe Police Department officers learned Taylor was driving a stolen vehicle in Monroe. Officers found Taylor and attempted a traffic stop, but he didn’t comply and increased speed, driving around other vehicles and through a median, officials said.

Taylor drove through a grassy area before crashing and fleeing on foot into a wooded area. Documents state officers found Taylor in a nearby field where he was arrested. A firearm was found near where Taylor was and the investigation revealed the weapon was reported stolen a few days prior.

On Dec. 20, 2023, Taylor pled guilty to possession of a stolen firearm. Officials say he will remain in federal custody until he is transferred to the custody of the federal Bureau of Prisons upon designation of a federal facility.
