    Metro Athletic Conference seeks new member schools

    The Metro Athletic Conference is accepting letters of interest from schools who may want to join the league in the 2026-27 school year. That would be the MAC's first year without Coventry, which recently announced its upcoming move to the Principals Athletic Conference .

    The MAC's members include three Portage County schools (Field, Ravenna and Streetsboro), three Summit County schools (Norton, Springfield and Woodridge) and one Medina County school (Cloverleaf).

    The Metro Athletic Conference supports the following sports: boys/girls bowling; baseball; softball; boys/girls basketball; boys/girls cross country; football; boys/girls golf; boys/girls soccer; boys/girls tennis; boys/girls track & field; wrestling; and volleyball.

    Schools are invited to send a "letter of interest" by Sept. 30, 2024 to:
