2024 SEC Media Day kicks off today

Dangerous heat to start work week, then rain to end it
BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The forecast this week will be divided. We are front loaded with heat and the back end will deal with rain. The local area will stay mainly dry through Wednesday (30-40% daily rain chance) meaning that heat will be the primary weather concern. High temperatures will range from the mid to upper 90°s in many locations. Factor in the muggy air and we will be dealing with peak feels like temperatures of 105-110° through Wednesday potentially Thursday.

Better rain chances by end of week could help with heat
BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The streak of Heat Advisories continues for Monday. Just about all the local area will be under a Heat Advisory from 11 AM to 7 PM. Expect Heat Advisories to continue through at least Wednesday. That’s because rain chances will remain slight during this three-day stretch. Similar to the weekend, rain chances will fall in the scattered, afternoon category. This will allow daytime highs to climb into the mid 90°s with feels like temperatures peaking between 108-112°.
