Hawaiʻi County officials have established a temporary resting area for unsheltered individuals currently occupying the area in and around a storm drain in Downtown Hilo. This move began on July 5 and is in anticipation of the US Army Corps of Engineers’ scheduled assessments of the drainage system.

Mānoa Falls hike to temporarily close for maintenance work
The popular Mānoa Falls Trail on Oʻahu will be closed next week for trail improvements.
