Annual Bemidji Corvettes Show & Shine Focuses on the Classic Car
The fourth annual Bemidji Corvettes Show & Shine, which lets people see the many different generations of Corvettes throughout the years, will be taking place this weekend. The event is free to attend and features a special showcase on the second generation of Corvettes, those built between 1963 and 1967.
Tollette Joins SJU Hockey’s Coaching Staff
COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John's University head hockey coach Doug Schueller announced the addition of Travis Tollette as his assistant coach on Friday, July 19. A 2013 graduate of Bethel University, Tollette recently served as an assistant coach for the Royals for four seasons from 2018-23. The Andover native coached at the youth, high school – as an assistant coach at Providence Academy for two seasons (2016-18) – and elite league levels for five years. In 2021-22, Tollette helped lead Bethel to its first MIAC playoff appearance in 14 years and the Royals became just the second team defeat U.S. National Under-18 Team in the last 20 years on Oct. 15, 2022 (4-2). "We are very excited to welcome Travis Tollette to the Johnnie Hockey family," Schueller said. "He will bring a wealth of knowledge to our hockey program through his experiences playing and coaching at Bethel. It was very important to me to find someone with experience recruiting to a Division III hockey program and Travis has shown great success in that area.

Man arrested after fleeing Clay County Deputies in stolen car and on foot
MOORHEAD (KFGO) – One man is in jail after fleeing the Clay County Sheriff’s Office in a stolen vehicle early Saturday morning. Sheriff Mark Empting says a deputy located a stolen vehicle in north Moorhead and tried to stop it. The driver fled, and a PIT maneuver was used to stop the car around 3 a.m. Saturday.

Huskers projected to land four-star defensive lineman
The Nebraska Cornhuskers have been projected to land a four-star prospect and class of 2025 recruit. Kade Pietrzak is a defensive lineman for Sheyenne High School in West Fargo, ND. Pietrzak is currently ranked as the No. 1 prospect in the state of North Dakota for the 2025 recruiting cycle. Bryan Munson of the On3 Network has projected an expert prediction for the Husker to receive Pietzak’s commitment. Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Kansas State are believed to be in the running. The Huskers class of 2025 holds 16 commitments and is ranked No. 28 nationwide. The Cornhuskers have also been making a series of offers to 2026 recruits but have not received any commitment. No timetable has been announced for when Kade Pietrzak will announce his decision.
