Hawai‘i Island police seek the public’s help in finding a woman who was last seen in downtown Hilo on the Fourth of July. Sun Popovich, 26, was last seen at around 8 p.m. She is Native American, 5 feet 4 inches tall and 140 pounds. Authorities have not provided a photo at this time.

Investigation underway after vehicle crash occurs in Nanakuli
NANAKULI, Oahu (Island News) – Farrington Highway was closed in both directions due to a vehicle crash investigation that occurred in Nanakuli on Saturday night, July 6, 2024. Honolulu Fire Department and Honolulu Police Department crews responded to the crash that occurred at Laulaulei Naval Road near KFC.
