UH Mānoa men’s golfers named Cobolt Golf All-America Scholars
University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa men’s golfers Josh Hayashida, Kolbe Irei and Tyler Ogawa were named to the 2023–24 NCAA Division I Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars list. Ogawa, a junior from Honolulu, made the list for the second consecutive year while Irei, a senior from Honolulu, was selected for the second time after being named to the list in 2021–22 while a member of UC Irvine men’s golf team. For Hayashida, it was his first distinction.
4 Rainbow Wahine sailors earn academic accolades
Four members of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa sailing team were named to the Intercollegiate Sailing Association’s (ICSA) All-Academic Team for 2023–24. Kona Community Aquatic Center to Close for Repairs Next Month
The Kona Community Aquatic Center will be closed for repairs and maintenance next month. During the closure, which will take place from August 10 at 3pm through August 27, Parks & Recreation staff will replace the sidewall grates on the pool’s moveable bulkhead and perform additional maintenance tasks. This work will require draining all water from the pool basin as well as balancing the water chemistry following refilling.

2024 Molokai Holokai Ho‘olaule‘a
More than 220 waterman and waterwomen took on the challenge to race across 27 miles over the Pailolo Channel, starting on Maui’s Fleming Beach and arriving at Kaunakakai Wharf on Molokai July 19.
