Day 2 of the Annual Queen Liliʻuokalani Keiki Hula Competition & Festival
HONOLULU (HI Now) - The Kalihi-Pālama Culture & Arts Society, Inc. is proud to present the 2024 Queen Lili’uokalani Keiki Hula Competition on July 25, 26 & 27, 2024 at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center. The public is invited to attend as more than 500 young hula dancers compete in the world’s longest-running keiki hula event. The dancers, ages 6 to 12, represent 18 hula hālau from O’ahu, Maui, Kaua’i, and Hawaiʻi Island.
Trash pickup delays across Oahu blamed on equipment issues
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Trash bins from Foster Village to Aina Haina were not picked up on time this week as widespread delays continue for Oahu. The city Department of Environmental Services said gray and blue carts were not picked up Thursday and Friday due to a shortage of available collection trucks.
