Hope Inc hosts the Navy in sled hockey showdown
FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Hope Inc. hosted the United States Navy for a sled hockey event Wednesday night as part of Fargo Navy Week. While both teams enjoyed the event, the Hope Inc. athletes were able to win all the matchups, defending their home ice against the visiting sailors. Participating members of the Navy were complimentary of the athletes they faced on the ice.

Homeward Animal Shelter in urgent need of fosters or adopters
FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Homeward Animal Shelter says they are in urgent need of fosters or adopters for 11 dogs that haven’t found rescue yet. In a Facebook post, the shelter says they recently recieved a desparate plea for help from Journey Home Animal Rescue in rescuing 13 dogs off of the Spirit Lake Reservation.
Mannie steps down as VCSU golf coach
Valley City State head golf coach Clayton Mannie has resigned his position, effective immediately. Mannie has guided the VCSU men's and women's golf teams for the past three seasons. He is stepping down from his golf position to work as a full-time professor in VCSU's technology and STEM education department.

Bismarck Stabbing suspect pleads not guilty to attempted murder
BISMARCK, ND — A Bismarck man who’s facing an attempted murder charge has pleaded not guilty. The charge stems from a stabbing that happened last month, when police say 28-year-old Dace Littledog attacked a man with a knife inside an apartment, leaving him with multiple wounds. The victim told officers that Littledog had been drinking before the stabbing.
