Sandy River Ramblers to Play at Lincoln Home Lobsterbake August 10
The Annual Lobster & More community event returns to The Lincoln Home Saturday, August 10, with a lively five member bluegrass band, The Sandy River Ramblers. The fundraiser will be held 4-7pm under a large tent, rain or shine. Mouthwatering Maine lobsters, barbecue chicken, clams, Damariscotta River oysters, corn on the cob, potato and pasta salads, and delicious blueberry cake will be served. Wine, beer and a soecialty drink will be available for purchase.

Maine AG rules police shooting of armed man in Augusta justified
AUGUSTA (WGME) -- Maine Attorney General Aaron Frey has ruled police officers were justified in shooting and killing an armed man who shot at authorities in Augusta. The incident began on January 21 around 11 p.m. after police say a man broke into an apartment on Northern Avenue in Augusta and was threatening residents with a gun.

4-year-old boy found wandering was seeking help for father, police say
OLD ORCHARD BEACH, Maine — Police responding to a report of a 4-year-old boy walking alone on Thursday, July 18, did not realize he was seeking help. When an officer of the Old Orchard Beach Police Department walked the boy a quarter-mile back to his home, he found the boy's father had suffered a medical event. Police say he was taken to Maine Medical Center and has since made a full recovery.
