Panel places SEARK on probational status
The Higher Learning Commission has placed Southeast Arkansas College on probation through June 2026, citing the two-year institution for violating three accreditation requirements. The commission said it took action against SEARK on June 27.

Low-Cost pet vaccination clinic

DURANT, Okla. — Arkansas has landed Class of 2025 running back Cameron Settles from Little Rock Parkview. Settles, 5-11, 195, chose the Hogs on Saturday evening over Missouri, Yale, Memphis and Tulsa. He joins teammate, athlete Quentin Murphy, choosing the Hogs from Parkview. ROGERS, Ark. — Hundreds of area children are now better equipped for the new school year after attending the 12th annual 40/29 and Arkansas CW Backpack Giveaway on Saturday. The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 S Main St, in Pine Bluff, had all of their revolting children on display for their summer production of Roald Dahl'S MATILDA THE MUSICAL during the last two weekends in July. Ok, maybe revolting isn’t the exact words for them. Actually, they were quite entertaining. Directed by the delightful Bethany Gere, their hard work was evident, and their collective storytelling elated the audience. The talent is impressive here at the ARTx3 Campus, and I love coming here.
