R&D Council Announces 45th Annual Edison Patent Award Honorees
The Research & Development Council of New Jersey (R&D Council) has announced the honorees and winners of the 2024 Edison Patent Awards, the state’s highest recognition for inventors and innovation. This year, 14 patents created by 66 inventors and five individual award winners will be honored during the 45th annual Edison Patent Award Ceremony and Reception on November 21, 2024 at Bell Works in Holmdel.

FLORENCE — A woman who says she fell into an open manhole in a Wawa parking lot has filed a lawsuit against the company. Courtney Barlow, 20, of Ewing, said she suffered permanent injury after the fall in the Route 130 store parking on Oct. 22, 2023, according to the lawsuit, which NJ.com first reported this week.

Township of Nutley 2024 Third Quarter Property Tax Bill Update
Important update regarding your property tax bill from Director of Revenue and Finance Commissioner Thomas J. Evans Nutley residents’ annual property tax bills will be mailed the week of July 29th. While the bill is due on August 1st, the grace period to pay has been extended to August 30th due to a delay in getting approval from the State of New Jersey.
