A 27-year-old mother from Pasco, Washington, was arrested for drug sales after being found passed out in a parked car with drugs while her young toddler was in the backseat.

The incident occurred when a concerned passerby called 911 upon witnessing Justice R. Norwood, 27, unconscious inside a Ford Focus at the U-Haul Storage on Court Street.

Arrest and Discovery of Drugs

When the officers arrived at the scene, they found Norwood disoriented and unable to locate her identification. They noticed drug paraphernalia in her possession, including a glass pipe and a glass jar containing methamphetamine.

Upon further investigation, police also discovered fentanyl pills, a handgun, crack cocaine, measuring scales, naloxone strips, and other suspected drugs in Norwood's car and purse.

Investigation and Charges

Investigators found pieces of notebook paper in the trunk that contained names and amounts owed for drugs, further implicating Norwood in drug sales.

Fortunately, her daughter was unharmed and was attended to by the Pasco Fire Department medics.

The concerned citizen's prompt reporting of the situation led to the child's removal from a potentially dangerous environment and the confiscation of numerous dangerous drugs from the streets.

Legal Proceedings and Conclusion

Norwood is facing charges for the delivery of a controlled substance and is currently detained at the Franklin County jail on a $50,000 bail. The authorities are yet to disclose the whereabouts of Norwood's daughter following her mother's arrest.
