Wow! June is over and it is already the Fourth of July! The summer is really flying by.

As I stated earlier the parade will start an hour earlier at 1 p.m. and the route will remain the same as last year which is on Michigan. Hopefully next year the issues with the bypass will be resolved. It is kind of crucial with the overload of through traffic on Main street being a hazard to all.

There are many events happening in Walker again this summer and one of the biggest is the Walker Bay Live that is held every Thursday evening in the summer. This week it will be in the park along with many other events. Lions will again be selling buttons to help with the cost of fireworks.

The Lions Trishaw Cycling Without Age has been very busy again this summer, and you very likely have seen it traveling down the trails or maybe frequenting the Dairy Queen. I do not have the complete schedule, but if you would enjoy a ride you may contact me at (715) 821-1761 and I will have a time and place for you!

We have added a couple of afternoons to pick up at Park Estates and surrounding neighborhood. That is every Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons starting at 1 p.m., and you may get picked up there if you wish.

The Lions will be holding their annual peach sales this summer as well.
