The 17 LongBow Ladies Golf League members encountered considerably cooler temperatures and a light breeze compared to the previous week as they played their regular league day July 17.

The five groups played Lone Ranger — a team game where on each hole two nets combine for the team score. The Lone Ranger’s net is added to the best net of the team’s other three players. The Lone Ranger starts with Player 1 and moves through Player 4 and repeats.

First place winners with a team net of 128 were Mary Kay Googins, Jeanne Major, Kim McDonald and Jean Marie Merrick.

The second place team was Mona Emerson, Pat McKee, Hope Olson and Dora Driver with 131 points.

Olson was closest to the pin on 2, and McKee had the longest putt on 15.

Pat Roush recorded 88 strokes for low gross for the day. Pat McKee and Jean Marie Merrick had 64s for low net.
