SOUTH BEND — It reached a point in spring when Notre Dame men’s basketball sophomore point guard Markus Burton wanted nothing to do with something that means everything. That’s what happens after a season in which Burton led the Irish in scoring (17.5 ppg.), assists (4.3), steals (1.9), minutes (1133.44/33.7) and starts (33). That’s what happens when he started his college career with a bang (a cool 29 points in your first game), and kept finding ways game after game and month after month to wow everyone.

Tornado causes damage in western St. Joseph County
THREE RIVERS — A confirmed EF-2 tornado Tuesday hit areas of the western part of St. Joseph County, including Three Rivers, Flowerfield Township and Fabius Township. A tornado warning was issued at 7:59 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph County, which went through 9 a.m., while a tornado watch was issued until 3 p.m. The tornado that passed through had high winds and heavy rains, and caused damage to some buildings, trees and properties in the area.
Money for Storm Damage Could Come La Porte's Way
