Nappanee Bicyclist Killed In Crash
A Nappanee man was killed when the bicycle he was riding was hit by an SUV Thursday night. According to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal crash occurred in the 11000 block of North Ind. 19 in Jefferson Township, in the northwest section of Kosciusko County.

Superintendents on the move: Vets and first-timers land new posts
A Texas leader has landed his fourth superintendency in this week’s moderately busy round of superintendents on the move. The Carroll Independent School District named Jeremy Glenn the lone finalist to replace retiring Superintendent Lane Ledbetter. Glenn, who is also a published author and university lecturer, has been superintendent of Granbury ISD for the past six years and previously led Waxahachie and Nacogdoches-Central Heights ISDs. Prior to his 17 years as a superintendent, he was an assistant superintendent at Trinity ISD.
City of La Porte hosts annual “Cheeseburger in Paradise” event for community fun downtown
The City of La Porte invited the community for another edition of their Friday Night Live events. Local residents came to celebrate the “Cheeseburger in Paradise” event downtown on Friday, August 9. The name is a homage to the Jimmy Buffett song and came into fruition as a tribute to the legendary artist.
