Don't look now, but yet another national business finds itself closing dozens of stores across the country after filing Chapter 11 bankruptcy. From Big Lots to Rite-Aid, JoAnn Fabrics to Bed, Bath, and Beyond, several stores have had to watch as their locations across the country close down. These businesses have all had to make the difficult decision for one reason or another, but now another business finds itself in a similar situation.

Michigan Judge Has Field Trip Student Placed in Cuffs and Jumpsuit
According to WXYZ, a non-profit The Greening of Detroit went on a field trip to the 36th District Court where Judge Kenneth King was presiding. A 15-year-old student was falling asleep and Judge King did not like and warned about it but he felt she had a bad attitude. That is when he ordered her out of the courtroom. Judge King felt she needed a lesson and told her to change into a jail uniform, put her in cuffs, and sit in lock up.

GREENVILLE, Mich. — A Greenville man is severely hurt in the hospital after being hit by a car on Saturday night, the Department of Public Safety says. Around 11 p.m., a 60-year-old Greenville man was crossing North Lafayette Street, near Grove Street, when he was hit by a car.

Maru Sushi closes Bridge Street restaurant after 7 years
Maru Sushi’s Bridge Street location has permanently closed and will merge into the company’s Cherry Street location. In a social media post today, Maru Sushi announced that the restaurant’s west side Grand Rapids location has closed “after much deliberation.” The company said in the post that “this is the best decision to better care for our team and guests, allowing us to focus our efforts more intentionally on one location in this region.”
