Nearly six years after Michigan voters made the use of recreational marijuana legal in our state, companies continue to face one issue: Testing employees for pot use at work. Traditional drug tests are only capable of providing vague results, using blood, urine, or hair samples that can only detect the use of cannabis within the last 30 days or more.

Man arrested after barricading himself in Grand Rapids home, police say
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Police responded to a person barricaded inside a home in Grand Rapids Monday. It ended after multiple hours. The incident happened at a home in the 300 block of Pine Avenue NW. Authorities with the Grand Rapids Police Department said no one else was in the home.
