BLACKFOOT — The Blackfoot Public Library could soon have a new bronze statue of a little boy named Arthur to welcome local bookworms and library patrons. The statue, named “A Hero’s Journey,” was created by Shelley artist Daniel Borup and is currently on display at the CJ Art Gallery within the Candy Jar on 105 NW Main St. in Blackfoot. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series made its first-ever appearance at Nebraska's Eagle Raceway on Monday with a 40-lap, $10,000-to-win event. Outlasting Ricky Thornton Jr. in a hotly contested battle to the finish, Hudson O'Neal led 32 of 40 laps to capture his first victory since joining SSI Motorsports last Tuesday.
