Reports suggest the Huskers may play the recruit on the offensive line as a tackle, although he has been identified as a possible candidate on the defensive line. Hammerbeck selected the Huskers over Kansas State, Minnesota, and Texas Tech. Nebraska first offered the recruit in the spring and hosted him on an official visit in April. He returned on an official visit in June before committing to the Cornhuskers on July 3rd.
