And outside Buffalo, a man threw a dummy pipe bomb through the window of an Upstate New York county clerk candidate’s home — with a message reading: “If you don’t drop out of this race, the next pipe bomb will be real.”
Over 20,000 in Oneida County without power after storm; 100,000 out in Upstate NY
Rome, N.Y. — More than 20,000 homes and businesses are without power in Oneida County Wednesday morning, hours after a storm that raced through Upstate New York. More than 100,000 NYSEG and National Grid customers are without power across the state. Oneida County is the hardest hit with 20,727 National Grid customers out. Rome has 10,367 customers without electricity.

New data has revealed the top 10 most cultured states in the U.S. The Cultural States Index, by student travel company Rustic Pathways analyzed each state against five factors: the number of National Historic Landmarks (NHLs), museums and galleries, live performance spaces, film and media sites, and literary sites.
