18 News experiencing network damage following severe storms
(WETM) — Last night’s power outages caused some damage to our key systems. We have been able to work around the damage to get most of our programming back on the air, but we are still working to restore the systems that we use to produce our local newscasts and hope to get back up and running by this afternoon.

Update 6:14pm: Governor Hochul says she has deployed the NYS Police and other agencies to help in Oneida County. As the heat index rose and the potential for storms grew, a tornado has been confirmed in Rome, NY - just north of Utica.
